在遊戲中玩家扮演的是一位美國國家安全級的探員費雪，玩家要面對的難題和任務都是出自世界上最頂尖的軍事小說作家－湯姆克蘭西的手筆，這一代的任務更加的困難，縝密的劇情環環相扣，對於玩家來說會是全新的挑戰，特別是這一代新增的特殊人工智慧，玩家如果在某些任務環節的解決方式不同，會造成完全不同的情況考驗玩家，例如：玩家如果在某一關選擇了強行突破，後續的敵人可能會穿上防彈衣或是提高警覺，不同的選擇會造成截然不同的敵人狀況來考驗玩家，這樣的設計讓遊戲更加的豐富多變，不同的玩法就會遇到不同的狀況。當然玩家過關的方式也絕對不只一種，突破的路線更是不只一條，不過切記不同的選擇會導致不同的敵人和難題，玩家在行動之前必須考慮周詳，這和現實的間諜活動幾乎完全一樣。
